We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator Intern to assist our estimating team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in cost estimation and project management within the construction sector. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced estimators to learn the fundamentals of estimating costs for various construction projects.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Help gather and analyze data from previous projects to inform current estimates.
  • Participate in site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant information for accurate estimating.
  • Support the development of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience or coursework related to construction estimating is preferred but not required.
