Job Summary

Reports to a site operations manager at American Airlines HQ, maintenance manager.  Guidance procedures are well defined, work instructions are specific and minimum supervision is required. Responsible for the daily work coordination of assigned personnel.  Work is typically of a complex nature and requires creative solutions and advanced skills. Performs ancillary duties as required.

This position is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Essential Duties

  • Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants. Requests may include plumbing, HVAC,      lighting roofing and electrical service call
  • Monitors, checks and evaluates the completion of major repairs and in-depth preventative maintenance in the primary area of facilities operations and maintenance HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical or other facility maintenance services.
  • Interprets compliance requirements and ensures standardization of work.
  • Identifies opportunities for process/system improvements and implements them as they are approved.
  • Takes and logs readings from critical equipment and takes appropriate corrective actions before system outage occurs.
  • Diagnoses building management/energy management systems for faults and errors.
  • Troubleshoots fire/life/safety, security and other building infrastructures
  • Assists other technicians in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
  • Uses tools and equipment that are sophisticated in nature, and need to be kept in a calibrated or adjusted state.
  •  Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and ensures crew does the same.
  • Keeps records of safety, health and environmental issues each working day.
  • Follows all established corporate and customer safety policies and ensures crew does the same.
  • Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests and ensures crew does the same.
  • Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately.
  • Serves as primary technical resource in area of expertise.
  • Works on and completes all facility team-based goals.

Supervisory/Management

  1. Serves as team lead in the proper performance of the daily work to be completed.
  2. Familiarizes Partners with company rules, policies and procedures.
  3. Ensures adherence to work schedule. Reviews crew time cards to ensure proper completion. 
  4. Maintains discipline of assigned Partners according to company policy. Informs manager of any partner issues and recommends possible disciplinary measures be taken in a timely manner.
  5. Prepares required reports related to activities and operations for assigned crew.
  6. Depending on assigned site, provides performance feedback to crew members, per established policy and schedule.
  7. May also assist with or perform APPLE’s on team members as requested.

 

Minimum Requirements

  1. Two (2) year technical degree or equivalent work experience, and/or professional experience desired.
  2. Good math, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  3. Exhibits strong leadership skills.
  4. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software products.
  5. Interprets blueprints and schematic drawings or oral/written instructions to assure completion of work to plan in commercial building maintenance operations.
  6. Maintains local, state or federal required licenses or certifications.
  7. Has current Universal Refrigeration License and/or other positional licenses as required.
