Job Summary

Responsible for supervision and administration of all workforce development and craft training programs at the branch level to include training (both classroom and OJT), performance management, recruiting and workforce retention programs.

Essential Duties

  • Works with stakeholders, SMEs, and instructional designers to scope, develop, and launch classroom-based training, eLearning, and on-the-job training programs.
  • Develops processes to track the development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
  • Maintains processes to verify that training programs are successful. Experience with Kirkpatrick's Model is a plus.
  • Oversees business unit’s training program to include:
    • Works closely with stakeholders to develop and maintain a training matrix for the entire business unit.
    • Provides support for training and development efforts.
    • Produces agendas and communications to participants.
    • Coordinates all training classes, including instructors, instructional materials, logistics and marketing.
    • Serves as a liaison with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all information, materials and services are delivered on time for training sessions. Maintains inventory and supplies for training sessions.
    • Meets and engages with learners and instructors.
    • Provides information on career paths.
  • Collaborates with targeted school districts to develop a pipeline of high school students that are qualified to work at TDIndustries.
  • Responds to inquiries, resolves routine matters, tracks budgets, processes expenses and invoices, prepares materials such as agendas, correspondence, meeting materials, etc.
  • Ensures that content owned by the business unit is uploaded to the LMS and deployed.
  • Updates and maintains training records in LMS and ensures that records are accurate and confidential.
  • Generates training reports and metrics to ensure training effectiveness and value to the organization.
  • Acts as a mentor to trainers to ensure quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with trades, manufacturing, or public vocational education strongly preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of databases and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
