Job Summary

  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned customer accounts within a geographic or industry focus
  • Identifies, develops and closes new sales opportunities. Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers
  • Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies

Essential Duties

  • Schedules and conducts customer visits with new and existing customers. Provides support to existing customers by working quotes, managing contracts and conducting follow-ups. Participates in contract review or renewal meetings.
  • Utilizes, enters and maintains all customer activity in CRM. 
  • Markets service products and capabilities with clients at events in a social environment.
  • Performs estimating on new work and service agreements for assigned accounts. Collaborates with service operations during estimates through job turnover. Collaborates with the operations team in project planning to ensure gross margin goals are attained.
  • Builds strong relationships both internally with customers and externally across the organization.
  • Conducts follow-up on billing issues on all assigned accounts. 
  • Utilizes understanding of the mechanics of contracts, associated accounts receivable needs, billings, customer portals and legal compliance such as lien activity to best serve the customer.
  • Analyzes potential work to ensure its scope, complexity, schedule and other requirements fit the Service business plan. 
  • Develops and executes service team annual plans that support and align with business unit and company strategic plans. 
  • May assist with strategic planning for the business unit.
  • Maximizes success rate by utilizing an understanding of market dynamics and customer goals for a proactive approach to opportunities.
  • Works with customers to develop their strategic plan to foster growth and drive sales.
  • Serves as subject matter expert and provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:.

  • 5-7 years of inside sales experience
  • 3-5 years experience managing contracts and renewal meetings
  • 3-5 Experience selling HVAC, Construction or Service Industry experience
  • Experience creating revenue from accounts up to $2.95 million
  • Experience with CRM tool
  • Experience making cold calls, attending networking events, and creating sales opportunities
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or related field is preferred
  • One or more of the following certifications is preferred: LEED, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP), Sandler Silver and/or Energy Star certification.
  • President’s award winner with Sales over $3 million
