Essential Duties

  • Manages project set up, changes to order entries, and overall maintenance of a project. Prepares and submits all required reports for assigned projects – CIP reports, lien waivers, project audits, etc. Maintains all project files, and upholds a high rate of data accuracy and completeness.
  • Enters all project related journal entries, and prepares monthly project billings to include both lump sum and cost plus projects.
  • Accomplishes month-end closing tasks for assigned business unit, and conducts business unit account reconciliations – suspense, previously closed, incentive, etc.
  • Reconciles and prepares monthly sales report for assigned business unit, and conducts gross margin analysis to ensure the financial integrity of projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Accountant, Sr. Cost Accountant, Sr. Cost Analyst, Sr. Accountant or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills, flexibility and the ability to adjus on the fly
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Unit Price Billing experience
