Job Summary

Assists with and performs the layout, assembly and installation of process piping systems. Assists with preparation and assembly of materials and equipment associated with the process of welding Ultra High Purity gas, chemical and water lines. Responsible for assisting Technicians with measurements, preparation and bending of tubing for associated process systems.

Essential Duties

  • Assists with the development of safety planning and execution.
  • Performs lay-out, assembly, and installation of process piping systems per established parameters, scope and procedure.
  • Assists in performing specific testing requirements per involved system.
  • Familiarizes self with all project required practices, e.g., 6S, prohibited behaviors and rules of engagement.
  • Responsible for maintenance, loss, or proper application (e.g., tools & equipment).
  • Complies with all disposal, handling, and disposition functions as apparent for materials both consumed and not consumed on the project.
  • Ensures all reliability risks are identified and measures are in place to minimize potential customer impact.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn specific protocols/specifications for installation or modification to Ultra high purity (UHP) systems such as: gas, chemical and specialized water.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn system layout and ISO drawings, orbital welding and tube bending.
  • Familiarizes self with the materials required to complete the task.

Minimum Requirements

High School or GED. 

Craft training is preferred.

0-2 years

Ability to handle tools and equipment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail.
