Essential Duties

  • This account executive will work independently as an outside sales resource for our customers, growing our Building Automation account base while achieving sales growth goals through both personal and team sales efforts.  This position is responsible for selling building automation systems, controls projects, system upgrades and enhancements to owners and facility managers of commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings for our Dallas Building Automation Systems group.  Our highly successful Account Executives  

    • Work with consulting mechanical engineers to develop projects, assist in writing specifications, and provide budgetary pricing.
    • Maintain a sales pipeline of open target projects along with a flow of smaller opportunities with mechanical contractors and facility owners/managers.
    • Demonstrate the ability to successfully negotiate price and terms of large project opportunities.
    • Interact comfortably with buying influences at all levels of customer organizations including being able to provide budget estimates with incomplete information and conceptual design documents.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales of technical systems and solutions to end users, consulting engineers, and contractors
  • Developing relations with key decision makers
  • Building Automation Systems integration experience with estimating is a strong plus
  • Undergraduate degree in business management, architectural engineering or mechanical engineering is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to present to groups
  • Establish proposals
