Job Summary

Reporting to the Account Director, the Project Management Lead is accountable for the successful provision of capital project management services to the University. This role ensures that we meet our obligations to deliver the overall planning and coordination of assigned projections from inception to completion to ensure their completion safely, on-time, within authorized cost and to required quality standards. This role is also our primary accountable manager to support capital planning, approvals, risk management and prioritization.

Essential Duties

 

 

  • Manages a team of Projects Managers
  • Responsible for quality projects being built on time and within budget. Ensure scope changes are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner.
  • Reviews various reports to determine project status and determine actions required. Provides periodic status and end of contract cost and budget analysis.
  • Conducts weekly meetings with the Field Leadership team. Consistently meets with with the both the customer to manage the priority of tool installations within the schedule.

  • Continually maintains the Project Status Log.

  • Communicates all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.
  • Assembles the estimate for the project and reviews the final estimate and ensures the proper loading of those numbers into the project cost system.
  • Prepares and submits monthly contract billings to ensure proper cash flow during contract performance. Monthly billings will capture monthly progress as well as remeasured tool values under a Unit Price MEI contract.
  • Manages conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades or Partners.
  • Identifies and develops policies and procedures for continuous aggressive improvement.
  • Assembles estimates for projects. Visits job sites or onsite offices, performs work inspections, checks job progress, and resolves project and contract issues.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or GED is required.
  • Extensive experience in managing MEP Subcontractors in a Facilities Manager level.
  • Well networked within the MEP industrie
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management or related field is preferred.
  • 15+ years Proven management experience with large building projects in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing environment.
  • Proven experience as Facilities Sr. Manager or relevant position.
  • Industrial plant and process operations.

  • Manufacturing facility.

  • Higher Education experience is a plus.

  • Proven experience as Facilities Sr. Manager or relevant position in an industrial, manufacturing or aviation maintenance environment.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
